Notification preferences
Control how you personally get notified — your contact methods, quiet hours, severity filters, and per-monitor mutes.
Alert channels decide where a workspace sends alerts. Notification preferences decide how you personally get pinged. Find them under Settings → Personal → Notifications.
These settings only affect your notifications, not your teammates’.
Your contact methods
The destinations that route alerts to you personally:
- Email — your account email.
- Slack DM — a direct message in a connected Slack workspace.
- SMS — coming soon; add a phone number when SMS launches.
Quiet hours
Suppress non-critical pings while you’re asleep or out of office. Set a start and end time, a timezone, and the days of the week they apply.
Critical alerts (DOWN events) always come through, even during quiet hours.
Severity filter
Choose which event types notify you:
- DOWN — a monitor went from UP to DOWN.
- RECOVERY — a monitor returned to UP after being DOWN.
- SSL / domain expiring — a certificate or domain expires soon.
- Latency degradation — response time is slower than your threshold.
Per-monitor mute
Mute alerts for specific noisy monitors without disabling them globally — the monitor keeps running and still shows on dashboards and status pages; you just stop getting pinged for it. Unmute at any time.
Going away for a while?
To pause all of your alerts for a date range (for a holiday or leave), use Holiday mode in Account & security settings instead of muting monitors one by one.
