Create Monitor
Create a port monitor — host, port, regions, and interval — to confirm a TCP service is accepting connections.
A port monitor opens a TCP connection to a host and port to confirm the service behind it is listening. Open Monitors → Add monitor and choose Port.
1. Host and port
- Name — a label for your dashboard and alerts.
- Host — the server’s IP address or hostname.
- Port — enter a custom port, or pick a preset service:

2. Interval and regions
Set the check interval (down to 30 seconds on paid plans) and the regions to check from. DOWN is confirmed from 2+ regions before alerting.
3. Firewall access
If the service sits behind a firewall, allow-list Spectra’s probe IP ranges for each region so checks aren’t blocked. The built-in connection test shows which regions are currently reachable.
4. Alerts and save
Attach the alert channels and Save — the first check runs immediately.
