Alert Setup
Choose how and when an SSL & domain monitor warns you before a certificate or domain expires.
An SSL & domain monitor warns you ahead of expiry and when validation fails. Set up where those alerts go.
Attach channels
An alert channel is a reusable destination you create once and attach to any monitor:
- Slack — see Slack integration.
- Email — alert an address or group.
Microsoft Teams, Discord, SMS, voice, and webhooks are coming soon.
When alerts fire
- Expiry lead times — at each configured threshold before expiry (e.g. 60, 30, 14, and 7 days) for both the certificate and the domain.
- Expired — the certificate or domain has lapsed.
- Validation failure — a broken chain, hostname mismatch, or a self-signed or revoked certificate.
Recovery notifications
After you renew, the monitor detects the new valid certificate on its next check and sends an all-clear, clearing the expiry incident automatically.
Reduce noise further
Use quiet hours and severity filters to control which alerts reach a channel — while critical alerts always come through.
